Tevita Kuridrani was born in Suva, Fiji, on March 31, 1991. He began playing rugby at a young age and moved to Australia with his family in 2007. He attended Corinda State High School in Brisbane, where he played rugby union and rugby league. Kuridrani made his debut for the Australian Under-20 team in 2010 and quickly established himself as one of the best young players in the country. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Brumbies in 2011 and won the Rookie of the Year award.
